Runtime: 210 Minutes

Southern Railway of British Columbia’s Fraser Valley Operations truly embraces the term “Short Line Railway”. Based out of Huntingdon, the railway services the cities of Langley, Abbotsford, and Chilliwack in British Columbia’s Lower Mainland — and Elevation Media has extensively captured the railway’s operations. Climb aboard an SW900 as we ride the “Chilliwack Turn” from Abbotsford to Chilliwack along the former interurban line built back in 1910: the Fraser Valley Subdivision. On the return trip, we ride back to Abbotsford in the caboose as the railway is one of the few which still have cabooses on the mainline, all the while capturing plenty of action trackside. We also follow the “Sperling Turn” from Abbotsford to Langley. Then we flash back to a time when a regular job still travelled from New Westminster to Abbotsford, as we ride in the cab of an SD38-2 from Langley to Abbotsford. From Langley to Chilliwack, we cover approximately 40 miles of mainline track of the railway’s Fraser Valley Operations.
